It makes me so sad by Pine town Traffic accident in Durban.
I can still remember I was having a meeting with my viral video group in UCT pub last week Thursday afternoon. One of our colleagues who comes from Durban showed us a YouTube Video from his moble phone. I was shocking down and immediately phoned my uncle who works alone in Durban. The robot where the accident took place was the only way which he must drive through twice every day. Fortunately he moved out about one month ago but I still worried about him. When he picked the phone I felt so thankful that he wasn’t there.
When the meeting was finish, I went back home, watched that videos again of another vision and did some research afterward. Every time I watched that video it just shocked me again and again. I also showed this video to my friend, my manager and the customers where I met from my job and all of them just freaked out and felt so upset. One old customer who has a long relation ship with us could walk out of our shop by being scared of that accident. Two small accidents accrued to her his year so I remind her to please drive safely and stop being rude when driving.
This crash made me start considering to questions, one is how can I prevent myself or my family from that accident? And the other question is imagine your are the family of the victim in that accident, what’s your feeling after that happened?
For the first question I have came up a thought that every time I stop in the robot, when it turns green I shall keep my eyes open on left and right and don’t care about how loud the guy hook behind me.
At present I am still struggling for the second question. Who they should blame to? The driver who couldn’t break the truck? The driver who was driving the taxi and carrying others? The people who made that truck? The people who didn’t make any rule to prevent big truck to drive into that rapid road? But I know that really make me so sad and that’s why I phoned my uncle right after I saw the video to make sure he is safe.
For you and your family, please do drive safely.
A short video is attached.
Horrible. Such a sad story.
